From dsp3000 on The Academy : Part 2…

Progress has been pretty good this week and I’m now working on the files and images for last major scene. After that it will be a full check through, a few minor image updates perhaps, and a full checkover of the scoring system and the checkfiles which make the game work as it should. As such I’m still on target for release at the end of July.

With the aforementioned scene still to complete, the image count is now just below 1400. Only time will tell just how many images the final game will comprise. It will be pretty big though.

The preview images this week are all taken from one key scene. If you remember, in part one Bridgette asks you to take part in a studio session with the students. This session takes place early on in the second installment of the series. The choices you make in the studio will effect what can happen for the rest of the day. There are around 300 images in this scene alone and there are several ways to play through it. It should be lots of fun.

I’ve thought plenty about replay value in this episode. This scene is a pretty important one if you want to discover all the potential outcomes.

      She will be a tough character to win over though.

  3. Looking really good, can’t wait to put my hands on it. Speaking of which, now that the idea of the Academy is quite clear, have you thought about what’s next? If not, I might have an idea, if you don’t mind suggestions.

    1. Always open to suggestions. While the general direction of The Academy storyline over the full five parts is fairly well formulated it will naturally evolve and expand as I create it.
      As such any critique, suggestions and ideas for additional material will always be welcome.

      I have a couple of vague ideas for what I could do after this series is complete but, I’m always happy to hear other people’s ideas too.

      1. Alright then, here’s what I thought. After the events of the Academy, you end up dating one of the girls (Which one? That’s for you to decide). What was at first a hook up turned into a romace, that ended in a wedding.

        Now here’s the idea for the game: you and your wife have aged a bit (not too much, just enough to show that time passed), you had a kid or two, and it chaged your love life. You still care for each other, so you decide “spice up” your marriage.

      2. I think that doing another series would be nice as it allows for more to be done than in just a single game. An idea I had would be a series set at a photographer convention that Maddison has sent you to. Similar to the Academy there could be a week with each day broken up to before, during, and after convention events. This would also open up the possibility of characters from both the Academy and Tara series making appearances as well as new ones. You could also employ the code system in the context of security access to the convention, which could be picked up from the front desk at your hotel. The women you could romance/seduce could be models, female photographers, hotel staff, convention employees, or those looking to become models/photographers.

        Looking forward to the next Academy update and, of course, the release of part 2.

    did we get an code at end of this parts , like other parts ? depending of how situation turn and all ?
    i verly like this idea about the code for the next day

    1. 1. I believe dsp3000 might object to being called DPS, whatever the circumstances. Cut down on RPG games, mate ;P
      2. I believe he said the codes served to carry over your progress into the next installment, so it would totally make sense for them to be present throughout all 5 parts.

          I’m not offended, but I do prefer the full dsp3000 wherever possible. 🙂

Dude you should learn to read between the lines I didn’t want to push him to work harder or to release it sooner what I meant with what I said was that Part 1 was a very good game and I can’t wait to see what Part 2 has in store for us. Oh and by the way you should work on your English.

    3. Believe me, if I could work faster, not have so many distractions, not have to sleep and perhaps have 30 hours in a day, I’d be more than happy to have released the game a few weeks ago.

      I now have a working folder with nearly 9000 files in it, a ten page production schedule and a scoring spreadsheet as part of the process of making this game.

      It’s looking good though and I am on schedule for the 29th.

  12. A bug report for Betsy: If you are playing a girl you get an error 404 message when in the school in the photo shoot sex scene that you can’t continue on from with both chrome and fire fox.

  19. I like this game but why do all the women have to have big tits and fuck me bodies? Maybe its its time to bring into mix girls who are have smaller chest and have a bit of meat on thier bones because this would bring a bit realism.
