June 20th Update

Betsy is now live and for free on the site.

If you can’t see her yet, make sure you refresh the site’s front page, or the games page (whichever one you’re looking at).

The final image count for the game is a crazy 1652 images, making it easily the largest I’ve ever made.

Due to the size of the game, I’m only releasing it as a Beta for the first 24-48 hours. I will be very surprised if there aren’t at least some bugs left in it. If there are, I will be fixing them as soon as I can.

In case you missed the relevant blog post, I have also upgraded the engine for this game. You should be able to download and play it with any browser, including Chrome.

Finally, I just want to draw attention to the fact that this is a free game. Part of my intention of releasing it as such is to see if people will be willing to join the members section as a sort of ‘donation’ instead of being forced to join it to play the latest games. If you enjoy Betsy, have the money, and want to show your gratitude, feel free to sign up.

UPDATE : Since a decent amount of people seen to be having trouble with the new engine, I’m putting together a version of the game that uses the old one. The simplest solution is normally the best one, and if you can play any of my other games, you should be able to use this version. If you’re having trouble, just wait one more day and I should have the new version online when you wake up tomorrow morning.

  2. Some bugs and typos that I’ve found so far….

    Critical bug found in photosend_noschool2.html…
    Line for the 3rd dialogue choice leads to this link….

    …Too many .html’s in that.

    Now for a couple typos.
    1) In photo100.html, “Looks like there’s just one guy here with his job”, as the picture show’s a guy walking his dog.
    2) In photo109.html, instead of the text saying something like “take a photo”, instead the text reads “Enter the class”

    And I remember finding one more during the opening school part, but I don’t remember where it was at, nor could I find it while writing this up.

      1. Another bug. To avoid spoilers of what’s happening, I won’t mention it, but in the file school81c, the file it leads to afterwards is school82b, which completely changes your race/sex for that scene.

        I’m not sure if it should leads to 82c like 81d does, or if you missed creating an 82d as well.

      2. Also, in end17.html, the first choice leads to end14.html, which takes you back a few screens, creating a loop until you choose one of the other 2 choices that lead to end18

        1. Also another critical error in end33.html. You have the link and the text swapped, so it’s linking to a text file that doesn’t exist, and the text on screen gives the file name.

          1. And end55.html is leading to a check file that doesn’t exist (giving a critical error that ends the game). I can see end77 file also is misnamed (end77.b)

          2. Couple more also, still with the end files. End64c leads to the same image that 64b shows (changing your race/sex), and there is no end64d (cutting off a particular race/sex combo).

            And looking solely at file names, I notice both a end65b and end65b#. Since neither of the other 3 65 files also have a correlating # file, I’m guessing something’s up with it.

  4. It seems that the start of the game of choosing gender, typing in name, and skin color is not working for me at least and why does the tab say maddison, instead of Betsy? Something went wrong?

    aprilcheck1.html wont go to other scene after
    date2_2.html I chose the option “Oh wow that outfit…”, next html scene goes black.

    sextest1.html-It says “I think this must be the place. I hear people talking inside”
    Option choices are. “Yes this my date maddison” “maddison, meet my secretary alex” “yep this is the lovely maddison right here”. Something is seriously wrong?

    Honestly why am I getting maddison? I shouldn’t be playing maddison game!

    Im just checking down the list of htmls. It seems really buggy.

    1. Ok why is the online one working well? Perhaps by accident you mixed something with the download one? Or? IDK? I downloaded from MEGA.

    2. Files list sextest1 (as you may have correctly been able to assume by the name), are just test files. They’re the ones marked with Maddison, and are completely unconnected to the rest of the game and shouldn’t be affecting anything.

      It sounds like your browser isn’t registering the offline variables. Which browser are you using and are you able to try another one?

      1. I just remembered I played maddison game offline long ago. Most possibly perhaps that’s the case? However, I can say the game does not allow me to play offline with the files. The online one works apparently, but the downloaded one does not work from the one I got at MEGA apparently. I’ve probably had some corruption on download? I could try downloading again and see how it goes. I’ll try 4share instead or some other link of download.

        1. Judging by your description, I don’t think it’s corruption (though feel free to try redownloading if you like. It couldn’t hurt).

          It sounds more like browser issues. Is it an older one? Are you able to update it?

      Says maddison for me; IDK why?

      I’m confused. I download the game and started testing the htmls. I’m not sure? Really its just what pops up.

      1. As I said above, just ignore those files. All files starting with 1 are just leftovers from my work flow.

        They have no connection to the actual game and will not affect it in any way.

    1. Strange. I just checked and it’s definitely there in the zip. It sounds like you might have gotten a corrupted download.

I’ve gotten pretty far, so I have to say, “THANK YOU!!” the pics are great and the girls are beautiful. ive ran into a couple issues with pages loading while playing online but im sure that’s due to traffic. I also wasn’t able to get the 4shared download to work after downloading it. It takes me to the first screen where you click play game and then it just goes black. anyways still playing it, very fun.

  7. I apologize, I didn’t know those were tests for your work flow. Anyways the offline apparently does not work for me. I clicked begin.html, menu to start game, and then all I get is black screen with pic errors. I tried Active-X controls and still nothing. I question why my browser does not register it offline for some reason? Its internet explorer. I guess I will be playing it online then, since it registers it quite fine.

    1. Are you extracting the files from the zip before you play?

      You description sounds very similar to the issue you would encounter if you don’t.

      2. Ah I discovered something xD. The offline when starting the game does not take me to gamelrge/entry.html. Something did not copy right? Yes I even extracted the zip. Just a suggestion have you ever tried DropBox? I really prefer Dropbox. It will upload just the whole folder rather than the compressed folder I believe. Creating an account you start with 2-4 gigs I think? I can’t remember. Though even referring a friend, if dropbox still does it? You can gain more gigs for free 🙂

      2. I’ve got her confidence up to 35 in the school scene and she won’t go any further. Is that a bug on my end if 29 should get her the lead?

    I’m not really a fan of a members section and would avoid it where possible, sry about that.

  10. I’m using a ps3.. all other games have worked before. When I click play game link, screen stays black. Even after reseting

    1. ps3 use linux if i remember good.. maybe incompatible with some browser stuffl ike flash or else. i also cant navigate correctly on ps3, some website didnt show all the stuff

  11. downloaded Betsy tried to run it in IE it wont load the begin page Tried in Chrome loads and
    runs so far but the images are too damn big for my laptop and chrome unlike IE insists I set
    the size page by page

  14. thanks. I honestly can’t join because $20 is a big amount for me. I love to join and help you, but I can’t because I don’t have that amount with me at this moment. I am sure many people are in the same boat.
    I am just a student yet, no proper job and from a developing nation, but I can pay like $1 per month and I am sure many people here can pay $1 or $2 up to $20, if you could collect money in that way instead of asking flat out $20 then I am sure you can collect a lot of money. everyone will surely help you at least with $1.

  17. Did I miss something? I ended the game by porking Betsy in the school, her happiness was at 90 and her confidence at 40, yet she didn’t get the lead. Did I make her too daring?

  18. For some reason I think that test work flow test files are conflicting with the game for offline? What I’ve been noticing for sure playing online, when it switches html scenes, I get a Maddison text on tab during the gameplay, and then it corrects itself to Betsy. Surely enough with my own eyes I believe this why its not working for offline and I could try deleting the work flow test files to see if that’s the case? What I believe is happening and I’m no expert at html, but could it be that its searching the htmls and getting confused because of two similiar tests between the game and the workflowtests because of it being similiar to each other? Anyways, its just something to look at and perhaps it might run better? I might try it later. Deleting all that says 1, which is the workflowtest and not part of the game itself. Besides the html is probably more stable online. I just know something by just an observation that I noticed. If anyone beats me to it, let me know, I’m playing online because I can’t stop a game in progress 🙂

    1. Ok people just start from entry.html and it will work 🙂 Apparently starting from helloworld.html is the issue. HAPPY PLAYING OFFLINE. TESTING STILL FOR BUGS-> still if any? At least I got it work offline xD on internet explorer.

  23. Sorry for my multiple posts and clearly giving myself different names, but seriously I’ve been waiting for this game for a long time :). I got it to work by starting from entry.html. All I got to say for reference, it does not run well on internet explorer when playing offline because it stopped at lockercheck1.html when offline.

  25. During the club end when Betsy suggests giving April and Violet a show I get a 404 error after the kiss instead of the caress breast(s) option. The requested URL /betsy/files/gamelrge/Caress her breasts.html was not found on this server. Refreshing doesn’t work sadly. Hope this can be fixed soon as it prevents the foursome ending from happening.

  26. Chaotic, I don’t really know what the issue is offline? Every time I use the offline version that I’ve downloaded, it goes black when going to transitions of ‘check.htmls’. Let me show you please.

Or simply Internet Explorer is not recognizing the jscript for offline somehow? Clearly clicking it gives me an error when checking those Jscript files with ‘check’-in them. If something is missing by accident please double check too. As I’m saying its not running well offline on Internet Explorer.

    If you choose female in gender and have sex with Betsy in school in the climax scene it shows a male instead of a female

  28. I absolutely love the title on the newspaper regarding sharks when you go to betsy’s house on the morning of the second day. You need to send a screenie of it to Shark over at the Lagoon!!
    I was laughing at that! Nice one!

  30. Great game. April was hot, wished there were more scenes with her. If you ever do a sequel maybe have an ending with Betsy, Cass, and Rachel together.

    I’m using Internet Explorer and am getting the same issue that ChaoticHelper is describing. Once I get to the check by the lockers right at the start, the screen goes black and I can’t progress
