August 17th Update

Hi everyone

Just a quick update today to report a potential l delay with Leanna.

I’ve decided I’m not happy with a small pile of the images and I want to re-render them.

It’s nothing too drastic, but the images all have a minor thing wrong with them that I’m unhappy with.

Examples :

One of the waitresses are floating in this one.

It’s intentional to see the player in the reflection, but I forgot to add a bench, so they are floating.

The woman on the right is actually inside the table.

It’s mainly just things like this.

I’ll try and render them all overnight, but there’s no guarantee they’ll be done by morning.

Hopefully, Leanna will still be online tomorrow, but if it’s a bit late, or Saturday morning, you’ll know why.

August 10th Update

So, if there’s one thing I’ve decided over the last 9 months, it’s that I really hate working with IRAY. I can’t wait to get back to producing games with Poser.

Progress with Leanna is respectable, but I’ve made a decision regarding at couple of things over the last few days.

The main content that needs to be rendered now are the variations for gender and ethnicity, many of which are animations. That makes how long they will take to render very unpredictable.

So, this is what I’m going to do…

Leanna will be released next Friday, August 18th. However, this release will only come with the option to play as the white male character.

In a few months time, when I have the stomach to face this project again, I will complete the other options and release a ‘complete edition’ of the game, with the option to play as different genders and ethnicities. I will also be releasing the game in an optional 4k format as well (next weeks release will just be the normal size your all used to). I’ll probably expand a few scenes etc too.

It seems like the best option as I’m sick of this project going fast then slow, then fast then slow again. I just want it to be done and released, but while not sacrificing any plot or quality. This way, I should easily finish all of the images tomorrow, and that gives me a full week to finish the writing and check for bugs.

So, it’s official. Leanna : fading the facade will be released next Friday!

August 4th Update

Just a fairly small update today.

I’m still working on the final sequence. Sadly, the images aren’t done yet, but I’m progressing though them at a steady rate (twenty done today).

I decided to have Leanna and Kristen’s ‘big sequence’ together at the basketball court from earlier in the game. I was going to have it at Leanna’s apartment, but I’ve already used it a lot in the game already.

The court renders beautifully, and it does so quickly, so it makes a good choice.

Also, to finish with, here’s a couple of images from the jogging sequence I haven’t mentioned yet earlier in the game.

Although I did mention August 11th as a possible release date, there’s still no guarantee it’ll be the big day. At the current speed, I’m actually thinking it may be something weird like Wednesday 16th.

I’ve only got around 50 more images to setup in total, so I’ll let you know where a release date stands once I’ve got them completed. A mid week blog update next week is with more details is likely.

July 28th Update

After deliberating what to do for the second date at the mall, I actually decided to change the entire setting. In keeping with Leanna’s fitness theme, I though if would be more appropriate to do something sporty for each.

This puts the image count at around 1300.

It also means that I think I’m finally ready to suggest  release date. Friday, August 11th seems very likely at this point.

It’s not an official release date at this point of course. Hopefully, I’ll be able to confirm it next week.

July 21st Update

Time for another update.

I didn’t get quite as much done this week as I’d hoped. The reason is that sequence 4 contains a lot of characters and you have to reposition all of them for every image.

It always makes the game look better when you have the occasional scene where there’s lots of people, so I don’t mind having to do this, but it can be disappointingly time consuming.

Next week, I’m hitting the mall, which is going to be a series of smaller scenes as you visit different places. Hopefully progress will be a little quicker with that.

EDIT : Decided to add a poll as I decide how exactly the mall sequence could go. I’m considering reducing it down to a choice between shopping at the mall, or doing a photoshoot with Leanna.

However, this will be, like, the 100th photoshoot sequence in one of my games. They’re always popular, but has there been one too many?

Friday July 14th Update

Hi Everyone.

This week I managed to get quite a bit done.

Section 10b is done, and I’ve manged to get half of sequence 4 finished too!

This week’s previews are all from seq 4.

The game currently has 1061 images.

It’s also worth mentioning that I have multiple scenes set to render over the weekend, some of which are animations. They should add and extra 200 images to the total when done.

At this speed, I’m hoping to get all of the images finished in about a week and a half, though obviously I’ll still have writing etc to do after that.

 

July 7th Update

I think for the next few weeks I’ll continue with the statistics I did last time, but I’ll update them every Friday. It seems like a good way to keep me one my toes too.

As you can see, I’ve adjusted Sequence 10 a little to better reflect it’s size. This sequence is the the final sex scene, and it can go three different ways.

I’ve competed nearly all of 10a this week, but it included many new locations to setup, which is more time consuming.

 

10b and 10c both use locations that I’ve already used, so I should be able to create a larger amount of content much quicker.

I know last week I said I’d be going through various features of the game, but I’ll save it for another time. I’m guessing that if it’s a choice between me spending an hour putting together a comprehensive summary of the games, or spending an hour creating more images, you’d want the latter.

June 30th Update

Hi everyone. Since my little vacation is over, it’s time to get back to building Leanna : Fading the Facade full time (or as much as I can).

Leanna

Let’s begin with a summary of where I am progress-wise. Here’s the plan :

  • Seq 5 (large) : 20% complete
  • Seq 6 (small) : 0% complete

  • Seq 8 (medium) : 90% complete
  • Seq 9 (medium) : 5% complete
  • Seq 10 (large) : 15% complete
  • Seq 11 (small) : 0% complete

Small sequences are around 20 to 50 images each, mediums are 50 to 150, and large are 150 to 300. So, as you can see most of the large ones are complete.

There will be three endings to aspire for (well, 5 if you count the ‘fail’ endings). Each of the endings will be a different sex scene, including one threesome. Each is reached by managing to increase or decrease enough points. This is the 10th sequence and the one I’m currently working on. Here’s a couple of previews from the start of it.

There are just under 1000 images in the game right now. I’m anticipating it to be around 1500 by the time I’m finished.

Next week, there’ll be more previews and I’ll be going through the various features of the game.

June 23rd Update

One final week of experiments today. Next week, I’ll be back to concentrating on Leanna and I’ll begin with a thorough summary of where the game is up to, what players can expect from it, and when they can expect it.

For now though…

I had another attempt at creating a new character this week. No name yet, but I came across a series of very realistic skin textures and felt compelled to use them.

I’ve tried to go for a slightly more hippy or bohemian look for her. It isn’t really something I’ve done before, and it could be very useful.

There’s some interesting character driven scenarios or factors it opens up. Hanging out naked in the forest? Maybe she lives in a cabin on the edge of the city and your spend the whole day nude and exploring the area.

Maybe an artist too. Last time we saw Kelly she appeared to have advanced from art student to teacher, so maybe this new woman is one of students. It would be a good way to connect her to the rest of the world I’ve established.

June 16th Update

Just a random mix of images and polls this week.

New character?

I’ve been experimenting with the idea of doing something with a more ‘cutesy’ character. Maybe someone with a sort of goth or Kawaii thing going down.

She’s nowhere near finished, but this is what I’ve got so far.

Leanna progress

No new images for Leanna this week, though I have been spent some time reordering the plot. I’ve found a way to merge some of the scenes together and thereby save a lot of work. The amount of sex content will be the same, but hopefully this should mean I can get through the remainder of the work quickly starting next week.

EDIT :  Decided to do a little work on Leanna today, so I started on the ending. Here’s the test image for the start of the scene.

Polls

It’s been a little while since I had any polls, so let’s have one this week.

I bought a new toy for Leanna a while ago. If you’re not aware of them, this is called a torso doll, and they are very much a real thing.

Obviously, the idea is that the woman get’s on top and rides it like she would a man. Since a majority of you didn’t like the idea of a threesome involving another man, I thought this might be a good alternative. She could be riding it whilst giving you a blowjob, or vice versa. She could maybe even have multiple dolls to play with – an orgy where you’re the only guy.

What do you think? Could this be a way to have a slightly naughtier/nastier sex scene, but without any threat to male territoriality involved?
